1) OpenAI has been testing the interactions of its artificial intelligence agents with several United States government websites as the company reviews unanticipated model behavior, the company said 26 September 2026. The activity was based on publicly available information from two websites operated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and United States Census Bureau data.

ओपनएआय (OpenAI) कंपनीने 26 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी सांगितले की, मॉडेलच्या अनपेक्षित वर्तनाचा आढावा घेण्यासाठी कंपनी आपल्या कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता एजंट्सच्या अमेरिकन सरकारच्या अनेक वेबसाइट्ससोबतच्या आंतरक्रियांची चाचणी करत आहे. ही चाचणी सिक्युरिटीज अँड एक्सचेंज कमिशनद्वारे चालवल्या जाणाऱ्या दोन वेबसाइट्सवरील सार्वजनिकरित्या उपलब्ध माहिती आणि युनायटेड स्टेट्स सेन्सस ब्युरोच्या डेटावर आधारित होती.

2) September 2026: The Technology Development Board (TDB), a body under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), has entered into an agreement with Chennai-based space startup Agnikul Cosmos Private Limited. The agreement provides for Rs 200 crore from the Government of India’s Research Development and Innovation (RDI) fund for the development of the Agnibaan Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV).

25 सप्टेंबर 2026: विज्ञान आणि तंत्रज्ञान विभागांतर्गत (DST) कार्यरत असलेल्या ‘टेक्नॉलॉजी डेव्हलपमेंट बोर्ड’ने (TDB) चेन्नईस्थित अंतराळ क्षेत्रातील स्टार्टअप ‘अग्निकुल कॉसमॉस प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड’सोबत एक करार केला आहे. या करारानुसार, ‘अग्निबाण’ (Agnibaan) या पुनर्वापरण्यायोग्य प्रक्षेपण यानाच्या (RLV) विकासासाठी भारत सरकारच्या ‘संशोधन, विकास आणि नवोपक्रम’ (RDI) निधीतून 200 कोटी रुपयांची तरतूद करण्यात आली आहे.

3) “Group of Friends on Safety & Security of Shipping & Seafarers” was held by India and Liberia in New York on 25 September 2026. The initiative was announced during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and India and Liberia will co-chair the group.

भारत आणि लायबेरिया यांच्या वतीने 25 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी न्यूयॉर्कमध्ये ‘जहाजवहन आणि खलाशांची सुरक्षा व सुरक्षितता यांवरील मित्र-देशांचा गट’ (Group of Friends on Safety & Security of Shipping & Seafarers) आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या आमसभेच्या ‘उच्च-स्तरीय आठवड्या’दरम्यान या उपक्रमाची घोषणा करण्यात आली आणि भारत व लायबेरिया या गटाचे सह-अध्यक्षपद भूषवतील.

4) On September 26, 2026, Maharashtra declared 265 of its 358 talukas drought-hit. The affected talukas cover about 74% of the total landmass of the state. The announcement came after a rainfall deficit of 18.8% between 1 June and 18 September 2026 and a two-month monsoon break associated with El Niño conditions.

26 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी, महाराष्ट्राने आपल्या 358 पैकी 265 तालुक्यांना दुष्काळग्रस्त म्हणून घोषित केले. बाधित तालुके राज्याच्या एकूण भूभागापैकी सुमारे 74% क्षेत्र व्यापतात. 1 जून ते 18 सप्टेंबर 2026 या कालावधीत झालेली 18.8% पावसाची तूट आणि ‘एल निनो’ (El Niño) स्थितीमुळे मान्सूनमध्ये आलेला दोन महिन्यांचा खंड, या पार्श्वभूमीवर ही घोषणा करण्यात आली.

5) The Center has extended the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958, in specified areas of Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh for a further period of six months with effect from 1 October 2026. The Ministry of Home Affairs on 25 September 2026 issued Gazette notifications after a review of the law and order situation in the three northeastern states.

केंद्र सरकारने मणिपूर, नागालँड आणि अरुणाचल प्रदेशातील विशिष्ट क्षेत्रांमध्ये ‘सशस्त्र दल (विशेष अधिकार) कायदा, 1958’ (AFSPA) ची मुदत 1 ऑक्टोबर 2026 पासून पुढील सहा महिन्यांसाठी वाढवली आहे. ईशान्येकडील या तीन राज्यांमधील कायदा आणि सुव्यवस्थेच्या परिस्थितीचा आढावा घेतल्यानंतर, केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालयाने 25 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी यासंदर्भात राजपत्र अधिसूचना जारी केल्या.

6) India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have formally begun discussions on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by signing a Joint Statement on 24 February 2026 in New Delhi. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi signed the Joint Statement. The Terms of Reference for the FTA were signed on 5 February 2026 to provide the framework for the negotiations.

भारत आणि आखाती सहकार्य परिषद (GCC) यांनी 24 फेब्रुवारी 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे एका संयुक्त निवेदनावर स्वाक्षरी करून मुक्त व्यापार कराराबाबत (FTA) औपचारिक चर्चा सुरू केली आहे. केंद्रीय वाणिज्य आणि उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल आणि GCC चे सरचिटणीस जासेम मोहम्मद अल्बुदाईवी यांनी या संयुक्त निवेदनावर स्वाक्षरी केली. या वाटाघाटींसाठी आवश्यक चौकट निश्चित करण्याकरिता 5 फेब्रुवारी 2026 रोजी मुक्त व्यापार कराराच्या ‘कार्यकक्षे’वर (Terms of Reference) स्वाक्षरी करण्यात आली होती.

7) Mandeep K. Bhandari, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2001 batch of the AGMUT cadre, was appointed Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education on 25 September 2026. The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and the post was temporarily upgraded to the rank and pay of an Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India.

8) September 2026: India Mobile Congress 2026, Viksit Tech 47 was launched as a platform to discover and support Indian technology companies and leaders. The initiative is part of the 10th edition of India Mobile Congress, which will be held from 7 to 10 October 2026 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Center in New Delhi.
