Who Can Apply

Candidates must meet the following educational qualification and experience criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline, preferably in Film Studies, Film Direction, Media, Mass Communication, Humanities, or MBA.
• Experience: At least 10 years of senior management experience in organizing film markets or film/entertainment industry-related events, film organizations, production houses, and their activities. Candidates must have domain expertise and regular direct experience in organizing film pavilions abroad, commercial and operational knowledge of production and post-production activities, experience leading and developing a team focused on mentoring, performance, and collaboration, as well as strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Age Limit: 65 years. Management reserves the right to relax the age and qualifications of deserving candidates.

Pay and Terms

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated pay of Rs. 2,00,000/- per month. The contract hiring is for a period of two years and will be conducted through an outsourced agency selected by NFDC Ltd. The initial place of posting is Mumbai, but selected candidates will be required to serve in any part of India as per the discretion or requirement of NFDC.

The Role

The Head - Programming will handle the following key responsibilities:

• Focus on verticals in the Film Bazaar such as Knowledge Series, Screen Writers Lab, Promotions & Marketing, Sponsorship, VFX & Animation & Tech Pavilion, Promenade Development, IT-related applications, Book-to-Box-Office, and attracting sales agents, distributors, purchasers, and buyers.
• Serve as overall in-charge of Films Bazaar, providing guidance and leadership to different teams, team leads, and functionaries of the Films Market at IFFI, and finalizing the programme, stall allocation, pavilions, and projects in discussion with the festival director.
• Exercise overall personnel, financial, logistical, and publicity supervision and control over Co-Production Market, Viewing Lab, Knowledge Series, Book-to-Box-Office, and Work-In-Progress Lab.
• Coordinate with other Section Heads of IFFI, international film markets, and handle proposals for setting up Indian stalls and pavilions in foreign film markets.
• Manage artistic aspects, extend invitations, follow up with senior film fraternity guests, and coordinate their hospitality and grievance redressal.
• Manage Film Bazaar registrations, publications, and distribution.
