Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released the official notification for admission to Class XI (11th) for the academic session 2027-28 against vacant seats in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), through the Lateral Entry Selection Test 2027. Online registration started on 2 September 2026 and will close on 30 September 2026. The selection test will be held on 10 April 2027.

How to Apply for NVS Class 11th Admission Form 2027-28

Follow these steps to complete the NVS Class 11th online application:

1. Visit the official NVS website at www.navodaya.gov.in or the application portal.
2. Go through the notification-cum-prospectus carefully and confirm you meet the eligibility criteria.
3. Click on the Class XI Lateral Entry Selection Test 2027 registration link.
4. Enter the candidate's basic details - state and district of residence, state and district of study, Aadhaar number, and other required information.
5. Upload the candidate's photograph, along with the signatures of the candidate and parent/guardian, in the specified JPG format and size.
6. Select up to two streams and up to three preferred JNVs per stream.
7. Review all entered details carefully, since the submitted information is treated as final for further processing.
8. Submit the application. No fee is required at any stage.
9. Use the correction window (if and when opened) to fix any errors, as no further correction requests are entertained afterward.

NVS Class 11th Admission 2027-28 - Important Instructions

• Provisional selection does not guarantee admission - final admission depends on successful document verification.
• There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-totaling of marks, and individual marks are not communicated to candidates.
• Candidates should apply for a Transfer Certificate (TC) from their current school only after admission is confirmed by the allotted JNV.
• Submitting fraudulent documents or hiding information at any stage will lead to cancellation of admission, even after it has been granted.
• Candidates without an Aadhaar number must apply for Aadhaar enrolment before registering, if eligible under the Aadhaar Act.
• In case of any dispute, the decision of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will be final and binding.
