Age Limit

Educational Qualification

The doctor will not get Non-Practicing Allowance, PF, gratuity or any benefit not mentioned in the advertisement or the offer letter. Private practice is allowed as long as it does not disrupt the assigned working hours.

Selection Process
- Screening of documents and caste certificate.
- Walk-in interview before an Interview Board constituted by SSP, whose decision is final and binding.
- A screening test, if required.
- Medical screening of the selected candidate to ascertain medical fitness, which must be cleared before joining.
Service Conditions
- Place of work: Salem Steel Plant's main hospital / Occupational Health Service Center (OHSC), Salem.
- Initial tenure is one year, which can be extended by one year at the Company's discretion. Engagement under the same contract cannot exceed three years.
- Working hours are a minimum of 8 hours a day for six days a week, or 48 hours a week. The doctor must also serve in emergent conditions or beyond normal hours, with no claim for extra pay.
- Performance is reviewed every year by the Head of Medical, Salem Steel Plant; the tenure can be curtailed or extended depending on performance.
- Either side can end the engagement with one month's notice. Poor performance or absence without permission can lead to termination. The company can also terminate forthwith for prolonged medical unfitness, moral turpitude, conviction, insolvency, loss of licence to practise, misconduct or financial irregularity.
- The engagement is purely contractual and gives no right to regular appointment in Salem Steel Plant.
- All company assets must be used properly and returned at the end of the contract.
