Eligibility: Age, Education and Certificates

Age and Date-of-Birth Proof

The stated age range is 18 to 35 years, with applicants required to have completed 18 years on 1 July 2026. Date of birth is accepted only from the High School marksheet and certificate.

Qualification and Eligible Applicants

  • Applicants must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent qualification.
  • Educational qualifications up to Postgraduate level are considered for the merit list.
  • These Anganwadi Worker posts are open only to women.

Certificate Validity and Family Restriction

  • Appointment of two women from the same family at one Anganwadi centre is prohibited.
  • Residence and caste certificates must be issued online by the Tehsil, digitally signed and available for online verification.
  • The income certificate must be online-verifiable, issued by the competent authority within the three years preceding 26 November 2026, and comply with Revenue Section-9 Government Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj-9 dated 30 September 2011, as amended.
  • Income, caste and residence certificates bearing an issue date after 26 November 2026 are not acceptable.

General guidance: match the centre's code, location and reserved category before completing the form. A project's total vacancies alone do not establish eligibility for a particular centre.

How Merit and Selection Preference Work

Educational merit operates alongside the preference sequence under the Government Order dated 17 September 2025. Local BPL groups come before the stated local APL groups. The sequence for each centre is:

  1. First preference: widowed, legally divorced or abandoned women belonging to below-poverty-line (BPL) families in the same gram sabha or urban ward.
  2. Next, if no candidate is available in the first group: other BPL women from that gram sabha or ward.
  3. Then, if the preceding groups have no candidate: widowed, legally divorced or abandoned women from above-poverty-line (APL) families in the same gram sabha or ward.
  4. After those groups: other APL women from the same gram sabha or ward, if no candidate is available in the earlier groups.
  5. Where no eligible candidate from these groups is found in the gram sabha, category-wise consideration extends to the concerned Nyay Panchayat using the same sequence.

A widow needs a death certificate from the Gram Panchayat Officer or urban local body and a certified family-register copy. Divorced or abandoned applicants need a court-issued legal order. BPL income limits follow Social Welfare Section-2 Government Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated 14 September 2015, as amended. The selection committee or appointing authority may cancel a selection.
