The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) announced on 3 September 2026 that it has opened 7 new examination centres on an ad hoc basis for the Company Secretaries (CS) Executive and Professional examinations, effective from the December 2026 session onwards. The new centres are spread across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Candidates enrolling for the December 2026 session and later sessions can now choose from these centres in addition to the existing ones.

What Is New in This ICSI Announcement

ICSI's Directorate of Examinations has added the following new cities as CS exam centres, each with a unique centre code that candidates will see while selecting their preferred centre during the online enrollment process:

• Two new centres in Bihar

How to Select a New Exam Centre While Enrolling

1. Log in to the ICSI Student Portal using your registration credentials.
2. Open the enrollment form for the CS Executive or CS Professional Programme, December 2026 session.
3. Go to the exam centre preference section of the form.
4. Select your preferred centre from the drop-down list, which now includes the 7 newly added centres along with all existing centres.
5. Complete the remaining sections of the enrollment form (group/module selection, medium of exam, optional subjects where applicable).
6. Submit the form and pay the applicable fee before the last date to avoid a late fee.
7. Save or print the confirmation for your records.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• These 7 centres are opened on an ad hoc basis, meaning ICSI has added them specifically to expand candidate choice and may review the arrangement in future sessions.
• Candidates who have already enrolled before this announcement and wish to switch to a new centre should check ICSI's centre-change facility and its deadline, if opened, on the student portal.
• Centre codes (for example, 129 for Begusarai or 493 for Rewa) are used internally in ICSI's enrollment system to identify each centre - candidates do not need to memorise them but may see them referenced on the portal or admit card.
• This update does not change exam pattern, syllabus, fees, or eligibility criteria for CS Executive or CS Professional programmes.
